12月27日下午，“2009•中华十大财智人物”颁奖典礼在北京钓鱼台国宾馆隆重举行。经过专家团评审与网民评选，结果最终揭晓。中国科学院院士、中国科技大学原校长朱清时，中国恒大排球俱乐部主教练郎平，著名作家海岩，中航通用飞机有限责任公司总经理谭卫东等三十人分获 “中华十大财智人物”奖、特别奖和单项奖。九届全国政协副主席、中国和平统一促进会名誉会长王文元出席大会并为获奖者颁奖。
“2009•十大中华财智人物” ，,其中“勇于创新奖”的得主是马来西亚威力行（YGL）集团总执行长（CEO）叶光前和美国泰科沃德股份有限公司董事长张丽欣。叶光前的获奖理由是：“经营创新，将小公司做成大集团；管理创新，成就亚洲最大企业解决方案提供商。叶光前是具有优秀科技创新水平和卓越商业创富能力的财智人物。”
自2004年起，活动组委会根据上级指示精神，每年共筹措举办“十大中华经济英才”和“中华十大财智人物”推选活动各一届，本届活动为总第十一届，由中国教育电视台、中国国情研究会、北京文化发展研究院、财富时报社、凤凰卫视、中国推选网、搜狐网等单位共同发起并分期举办。根据一名专家提议、两名专家附议的原则，包括港、澳、台、新、马、泰、美、英、法、加等地区在内，海内外数千名优秀华人代表获得提名，推选各界英才人物的官方网站中国推选网，中国第一大门户网站搜狐网，及中国最有影响力的网络视频媒体第一视频在连续五届成功联合推选“中华十大财智人物”后，再度携手，推选“2009·中华十大财智人物”（第六届）。活动承办单位为北京财智时空文化发展有限公司。

提名理由：叶光前与弟弟携手创立YGL集团，从一间小型会计软件分销商做起，逐步发展为微软、Sage、金蝶等世界级ERP软件商的合作伙伴，成为集企业资源规划ERP咨询服务、商业软件开发和销售为一体的顾问及服务供应商。作为亚洲最大的企业解决方案提供者之一，业务遍及新、马、泰、中国和香港地区，业绩显著，影响深远。叶光前是具有优秀科技创新水平和卓越商业创富能力的财智人物。
个人小档案：叶光前，男，祖籍福建，马来西亚YGL集团首席执行官。澳大利亚特许会计师协会和马来西亚会计协会会员。1963年出生于马来西亚槟城一会计世家，1984年毕业于澳大利亚墨尔本大学，商业学士学位，主修会计与计算机科学。1985年加入安永会计师事务所（Ernst & Young）马来西亚区，1993年任YGL集团顾问，2005年6月YGL集团重组上市时，任集团总执行长。2006年，获香港《资本才俊》（CEO Capital）“最佳CEO奖”。
Ygl showcases TAXcom and Kingdee K3 solutions in the CCH conference 2009. The event is organised by CCH at Concorde Hotel KL. The response is overwhelming.
INTRADE Malaysia 2009 organised by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and the exhibition is held over three days at MATRADE Exhibition and Convention Centre (MECC), Menara MATRADE, Kuala Lumpur, from 10th to 12th November 2009.
Ygl is invited to witness the launching of INTRADE MALAYSIA 2009. Mr. Humphrey Ho represents YGL to witness the official launch at MATRADE Convention Centre.
Themed “ Revitalizing resilience, revitalizing growth”, the 1-day Conference was organized by MIA to address impact and opportunities brought about by the recent financial crisis at a local level and also issue in relation to the recently unveiled National Budget 2010. The event was officiated by the Chief Minister of Penang, Lim Guan Eng.
With an exceptional turn out on more the 500 participants, the conference drew a crowd comprising of CEOs, CFOs, senior managers, managers and executive besides Chartered accountants.
Ygl co-sponsored the event and showcase our ERP solutions during the event. As one of the top seller of tax software in Malaysia, Ygl also carries other ERP product namely, Kingdee which we have joint venture with Kingdee International one of the largest ERP provider in Southern China and ranks second in the whole of China. Kingdee International Software Group currently has 3,200 staff and over 400,000 customers in greater China region.
As one of the 7 selected companies, Ygl were invited to join the Exhibition on Complaints Handling Software organized by Efficiency Unit of the HKSAR Government which was held on 30 October and 2 November 2009. Over 600 frontline staff, senior and middle managers from 54 government departments visited the exhibition and had chances to see our live demo of a recent project, Case Management cum Tracking Facility, which we implemented for the Social Welfare Department. Our booth has been very popular and our visitors made inquires on the project and our other solutions.
On 15th October 2009, Ygl participated in the SHA/STB/IDA Technology Educational 2009 to showcase ALBERgo Hotel and Timeshare solutions. This event is organised by Singapore Hotel Association and is held at Riverview Hotel Lily Ballroom.

ALBERgo Timeshare is a user-friendly solution that combines traditional inventory management and guests/members’ reservation with modern technology.
Patrick Fu, Boris Wong and William Sun visited Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service Elderly Day-care centre (Shatin) on behalf of Ygl Convergence (HK) on 30th September, 2009. The centre members enjoyed a delightful morning with our staff playing traditional games of mid-autumn festival such as solving riddles and guessing games.
Ygl Convergence Berhad was awarded one of the winners for the Most Promising Entrepreneurship Award 2009 at the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (“APEA”) 2009 Malaysia. Mr. Yeap Kong Chean, CEO of Ygl was conferred at a gala dinner and official awards ceremony held last night at the Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
APEA is a world-class award recognizing and honoring business leaders who have shown outstanding performance and tenacity in developing successful businesses within the region as judged by an independent judging panel. Judging from both quantitative and qualitative criteria, the winners of the Most Promising Entrepreneurship Award are entrepreneurs that have displayed outstanding accomplishment and have the vision and plan to lead their companies to become leading businesses in the near future.
