YGL Convergence sees a third of
revenue from JV
KUALA LUMPUR: YGL Convergence Bhd, one of the largest
enterprise solution providers in Asia, expects its 51%-owned
joint venture entity, YGL Parker Randall World Alliance, to
contribute one-third to group revenue by 2010, said chief
executive officer Yeap Kong Chean.
Speaking after the company signed an agreement yesterday with
Parker Randall Malaysia, a worldwide organization of independent
professional accounting firms and business advisers, he said
that the alliance with Parker Randall would be the vehicle to
provide complete end to end Information Technology (IT)
solutions to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across Asia.
“With the infusion of Parker Randall’s professional business
consultancy, we are now able to provide enterprise solutions to
SMEs with in-built tax planning, cost reduction measures,
internal cost controls and executive information. This is
salient to all businesses,” said Yeap.
Under the partnership agreement, YGL will provide the IT
know-how, including providing pre-sales team, technical and
implementation support, training, certification, technology
transfer and other related support while Parker Randall will
provide the operational aspects supporting the business from its
global network.
Parker Randall managing partner Datuk Raymond Liew said the
alliance would provide an opportunity for the company to broaden
its reach to Greater China and Hong Kong.
“We need a strong local IT partner like YGL, as our clients,
especially in the Asia Pacific region are interested in
enterprise resource planning products,” he said.
