Challenges

Inventory accuracy.  Manufacturers don’t have full visibility to their inventory, they face the problems of either running out of stock without proper monitoring or carrying too much stock and thus decreasing cash flow while increasing expenses to warehouse extra materials. Of the two challenges, the greater problem is inventory shortage, which can lead to unfulfilled orders and unhappy customers.

Inventory location. Lack of inventory oversight can cause a build-up of inefficiencies within the warehouse that slows operations and increases costs. Without adequate insight into location, pickers take longer to find the items to ship, which slows the loading process and creates a backup in labour allocation and dock-door scheduling.

Space utilization or warehouse layout. It’s not about how much space you have; it’s about optimizing that space to avoid unnecessary labour. The system can utilize the space through cubic calculation and to load stock. User able to overview warehouse status through system without going to actual site.

Redundant processes. Barcode technology can reduce or eliminate the problem of a pick ticket or other documentation having to pass through multiple hands — e.g., a picker, a checker, a stager, a loader, etc.

Picking optimization. For warehouses that still have manual processes in place, there tends to be no common route taken to pick items for shipment, which adds unnecessary time to the process. With system-directed pick or putaway, the routing can be automated, which will reduce wear and tear on equipment and the workforce.

Solution YGL BeyondERP extends the coverage of Warehouse Management System, reaching into machines to directly collect points of data such as speeds, temperatures and uptime, file handling, file download and upload, Stock In Voucher (SIV) from YGL Production to Smart Warehouse.

  • Cheaper and faster delivery. The area for high-frequency material picking uses small stackers and rolling racks for automated storage and replenishment, and runs as a 3D process that consolidates storage, replenishment, and pick-up into one process. The system automatically issues orders, associates tasks, and applies picking to light (PTL)\ radio frequency (RF) relay sorting and foolproof picking.
  • Supply chain visibility.  The pallet and bin storage areas cover all of Huawei’s raw-material management of PCBA veneers. The mater supply model of the central warehouse + WIP (work in process) warehouse performs various functions, including expiration management, damp-sensitivity management, online circulation inventory, and automatic replenishment. The multidimensional and multilevel material management model ensures high reliability when handling complex scenarios
  • Helps fight talent shortage by automating tasks. With minimal requirements for manual work, the goods-to-person picking area is used for picking up low- and mid-frequency materials. The secondary cache warehouse is fully automated. It applies PTL technology, seed sorting, and automated, associated bar-code printing to achieve simultaneous multi-order processing and bar code traceability.   .
  • Improves asset management. The Internet of Things increases a manager’s awareness of every single item stored in the warehouse. The cargo consolidation area sets up different spots for different deliveries. Multiple slide rails match with tasks, and work with unmanned AGV smart feeding carts that directly supply production lines to realize seamless interfacing between warehouses and production lines. Automated logistics can handle 10,000 order lines per day, with average daily stock-removal hitting16, 000 LPN (registered container code).
